Transient Osteoporosis

It is a disease which until the last decade didn’t have a name. It is more often in young and middle age people and it is presented with swelling in the bone marrow. It is combined with pain and decrease in the joint mobility, especially in the hip, knee and ankle. The main cause of the disease is still unknown.

In the Journal of Bones and Joint Surgery, there is a report of the Mayo Clinic where there where 8 patients from 39 to 64 years old. In each case, (according to the doctors who examined them) they couldn’t identify the factors which caused the sudden symptoms.

In a survey of E.CRESPO, D.SALA and others, this disease is presented in men between 40 and 60 years old. In women, it was presented during the third period of pregnancy (32 weeks).
