Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is the most common disease in the joint of knee especially in older ages. When a joint develops osteoarthritis, full or part of cartilage thins and the surface becomes rougher. That makes the joint non functioning and doesn’t move as smoothly as it should. There are many reasons for osteoarthritis:age (most common in the ages of 40 and plus), gender (most in women), obesity, joint injury (older operation), joint abnormalities, genetic factors etc. The patient feels pain, swelling and a feeling of blocking in this area.
